Counselors at Camp Kitti

1. Supervision of campers the whole week at camp.
2. Assisting or teaching sports, arts and crafts, theater, music or dance instruction
3. Giving a daily character development talk
4. One-to-one camper advising 

5. Striving at all times to be an example of character for the campers and fellow counselors 

6. Lead daily prayers and Rosary with campers.

• Counselors should be able to attend a training weekend beginning Friday, April 12 at 7:30 pm at Yuma Center (4101 Yuma St. NW, Washington, DC, 20016) and ending Saturday, April 13 at 1:45 pm. The training weekend is highly encouraged for consideration as a counselor. 

• Counselors must also be able to attend a mandatory counselor training August 2-3 at 10:00 am at Yuma Center and camp from August 4th-9th. We will travel from training to camp together as group. 

• Counselors must be age 16+ and/or rising juniors by the start date of camp.

•  Head counselors must be at least 18 years of age and will undergo a background check.

•  All counselors must undergo our training sessions, including safe environment training.

• All applicants must attend an interview with a representative of Camp Kitti. 

• Previous counselor experience at Camp Kittimaquundi does not guarantee you a position in 2024. In fact, there are no guarantees of acceptance, so please take this application process seriously. We have limited spots for counselors.
